Where you play inside a mini board decides where your opponent must play next. Play in the top-right cell? Your opponent is sent to the top-right mini board. Play in the centre? They go to the centre mini board.

The glowing boards show where you're allowed to play this turn. If your opponent sends you to a board that's already won or full, lucky you — you can play on any open board.

Win a mini board by getting three in a row inside it. A large X or O will mark it as claimed. A drawn mini board is locked — nobody wins it.

Think a move ahead — every cell you pick controls where the battle goes next. Sending your opponent somewhere bad is just as important as winning a mini board.
